1. Introduction

The world has been experiencing from time-to-time famines from the days of Old Testament to date. However, people prospered during the same time.

2.Why the seige of Samaria

Famines are many times sent by God because of sin and disobedience. This famine in Samaria was a direct result of Ahab’s sin. Ahab had married Jezebel, an idolatrous Phoenician woman.

Ahab was the father of Jehoram who was king of Samaria during the siege.
Ahab was world champion in wickedness: 1 King: 21:25
1. There was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.
In his last days, Ahab humbled himself before the Lord; and because of this the Lord did not let the evil that was pronounced against Ahab come to pass in his days but brought it to pass in his son’s day.
Hope the siege over yourself is not the consequence of your wickedness against God. Maybe you need to repent beyond Ahab to receive Gods mercies.

3. Are mothers nurturers or killers

Mothers are supposed to be offering food, protection, support, encouragement, and training to their children. However, the women in 2 Kings 6-24-29 were the killers

Just maybe the very person(s) charged to nurture you has become your killer.
I am happy to present to you a true nurturer who is:

4. Stop Fighting God

As was going to Elisha to cut off his head not for Gods mercies. It is very unfortunate that many Christians today have pick up a fight against God because of the situation. You may be asking how is this possible.

The blame games
1. Adam, have you eaten of the fruit I God commanded not eat? Adam responded the woman you gave me gave the fruit to eat.
4. Giving conditions or automaton to God.
1. If you don’t give me a husband, wife, job etc by such time, I will go back to the world.

It is possible for your siege to be lifted if only you turn to your God and maker.
