Welcome Message

Welcome to the family of Light where we talk and radiate light. We are light bearers, and we spread the light of Christ for all to see. It is a place of transformations: where Christ is transforming lives to His own glory. Here, we Rule and reign by light. Hallelujah!

About us

The Grand Assembly, Benin

The Grand Assembly Benin also known as Foursquare Gospel Church Grand Assembly Benin and Foursquare Grand Assembly Benin is a vibrant and welcoming youth church where you can encounter God’s love, experience the power of the Holy Spirit, and discover your purpose. We’re an offshoot of the Foursquare Gospel Church Nigeria, inaugurated on July 24th, 2022, dedicated to guiding and empowering youths in their spiritual and personal growth.

The Foursquare Church, officially named the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, is a Pentecostal denomination that resulted from the dynamic evangelistic ministry of Aimee Semple McPherson, who opened the historic Angelus Temple on Jan. 1, 1923.

Why us

What We Believe In

Our belief is based on core biblical truths we call the 22 tenets of faith. We believe in The Holy Scripture, The Plan of Redemption, The Baptism of the Holy Spirit, Moderation, Divine Healing, Heaven, Civil Government and lots of other amazing truth.

Our Name – The Foursquare Gospel Church: “Foursquare” is a Biblical term used of the tabernacle in the Book of Exodus, of the Temple of the Lord in Ezekiel 40:47, and of Heaven, as described in the book of the Revelation.

The term “Foursquare Gospel” was given in the inspiration of revival to the denomination’s founder, Aimee Semple McPherson, during an evangelistic campaign in Oakland, California, in 1922. It represents that which is equally balanced on all sides, established and enduring.

The name represents the four-fold ministries of Jesus as:

Jesus The Savior

The cross represents the death of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross carrying our sins with Him as the perfect sacrifice

Jesus The Baptizer With The Holy Spirit

The dove, a symbol of the Holy Spirit as is seen at the Baptism of Jesus by John in the Jordan River, represents the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus The Healer

The cup represents the anointing oil as we are instructed. By the power of the Lord Jesus he continues to heal the sick and the afflicted

Jesus The Soon Coming King

The crown represents the Coming King, with the purple showing the royalty of Jesus Christ who will return very soon to catch His bride away to be with Him forever

We believe that the Bible is God - inspired (2 Timothy 3:16, 17)

We believe that God is Triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe that man is created in the image of God but, by voluntary disobedience, fell from perfection thereby imbuing humanity with sinfulness (Romans 5:12)

We believe that, while we were sinners, Christ died for us pardoning all who believe in Him (John 3:16; Romans 5:8)

We believe that we receive salvation when we come to God through faith in the atoning work of Jesus on the cross. Salvation is God's gift to us (Ephesians 2:8)

We believe that, upon sincere repentance and a wholehearted acceptance of Christ, we are justified before God (Romans 10:8-10; 1 John 1:9)

We believe that a genuine change takes place in people who accept Christ as Savior; believers allow Christ's life to be lived through them (2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20)

We believe that it is the will of God for believers to walk in progressive sanctification, growing continuously in the faith (Hebrews 6:1)

We believe that it is the will of God for believers to walk in progressive sanctification, growing continuously in the faith (Hebrews 6:1)

We believe that baptism with the Holy Spirit empowers believers, and that the Holy Spirit's incoming follows the same pattern that is described in the New Testament (Acts 2:4)

We believe that it is the will of God that we daily walk in the power of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30- 32)

We believe that the Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon Christians (1 Corinthians 12:1-11) and that we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit-filled life (Galatians 5:22-25)We believe that the Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon Christians (1 Corinthians 12:1-11) and that we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit-filled life (Galatians 5:22-25)

We believe that people who follow Christ should avoid the extremes of fanaticism and pursue lives of balance and moderation, demonstrating gentleness and patience (Philippians 4:5, KJV; Colossians 3:12, 13)

We believe that man is created in the image of God but, by voluntary disobedience, fell from perfection thereby imbuing humanity with sinfulness (Romans 5:12)

We believe that the second coming of Christ is personal and imminent (1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17; Titus 2:11-13)

We believe that followers of Christ have a sacred duty to identify with the visible church of Jesus Christ and should meet regularly with fellow believers (Hebrews 10:24, 25)

We believe that laws and ordinances come from God's ultimate authority and should be upheld, except when they are in opposition to the revealed will of God (Romans 13:1-5)

We believe every person will one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ to receive eternal life or death (Revelations 20:11-15; Hebrews 9:27; 2 Corinthians 5:10)

We believe that heaven is the glorious eternal home of born-again believers (John 14:1-3; Revelations 7:15-17)

We believe that hell is the place of eternal torment for all who reject Christ as Savior (Revelation 20:11-15)

We believe that the church's primary responsibilities are taking the gospel to the entire world and making disciples (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:19-20)

We believe the method ordained by God for the support and spread of His cause is giving tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:7)

Give Your Tithes, Offering, Vow and Donations

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7
